We took advantage of cooler temperatures on Sunday afternoon (85 degrees as opposed to the usual 95!) and took a short hike in the foothills by our apartment.
It was a little overcast and we started to hear rumbles of thunder.
It started to sprinkle as we neared the car and I got excited about using the Buffin's rain cover for his backpack. Within minutes of being back in the car we were in a major downpour. Hail started pelting the car and we couldn't see more than 25 feet. I was so thankful we had made it back in time. I can't imagine trying to get down the hill with the Buffin in those conditions. The Lord really had mercy on us! Lesson learned: When you're in the hills and you hear thunder, take it seriously.
